I am an R.N. living in Three Rivers, a foothill community in central California. The nearest hospital is 35 miles away (Visalia) and the nearest large city is 90 miles away (Fresno). I am tired of the long commutes. I am seeking either a part or full time position working out of my home. At this time I am unable to relocate. I have been a nurse for eleven years. I have a bachelor's degree in the liberal arts and I am also a certified paralegal. I have experience in ICU, Telemetry and finally as a surgical circulator. I have worked as a medical transcriptionist for five years and possess excellent secretarial and telephone skills. I am also fluent and literate in the Russian language.

I am a pediatric nurse on an inpatient unit. I have seven years experience. I also have some experience with adults. I am looking for a nursing job that I can do from home full time, preferably with benefits. Maybe something like chart reviews or telephone triage. Does any one know where I might go to look for those type of positions?

I work in an OB/GYN clinic. We use a telephone contact form for messages i,t is a permanent part of the record. Some nurses want a telephone log book for messages, then rewrite messages prn for the chart. I feel that all contacts are improtant, even if it only means one more phone number to contact the patient. I also feel strongly that you should have a patient chart whenever possible to call back a patient. Many nurses say, "if you haven't heard anything, then everything is ok". Management is not supportive.
